We've been keeping busy and Arya is a handful already so sometimes it may take me a while before I get back to writing in the blog. This week Arya has mastered turning his neck from side to side. Even though it's still wobbly he has managed to swing it from one side to the other when he's interested to look at something. He has also become fixated at patterns and objects with dimension. I am not sure what it is but he stares at things for a long time that are this way. Like he is studying it or something.
Here we got him to sit next to me while Ali took his picture. 2 seconds later he was mad but we managed to get him before that!

This is Arya during his morning nap on the swing. He sleeps in here for hours at a time. What a good investment!

While I've been inside with Arya, Ali has been taking care of the yard and trying to work on things that have fallen behind our schedules.

Your grapevines look SO beautiful! I can't believe you guys can grow those...must be the CA weather.
I remember not knowing what was mesmerizing Cyrus before, but now that he can use his hands, it's much more obvious!

Anaar, angoor, wow, that would make a terrific life situation for any red-blooded Persian. What excites me more than all else, of course, is the ghooreh season when you can perfect the taste of your ghormeh sabzi with a load of ghooreh; my mouth is all watering. I am not sure though if all Persians are so crazy about sour taste of ghooreh and lime; I know that the Modaresi family--especially Nahid--could go nuts over these two sour fruits, we would give a right arm. Does Ali like ghooreh and lime also? I imagine he has to or else he can go find himself another wife.
Even though I inherited the name Tadjeran then Monabbat, I am still half Modaresi and I am such a nutt for sour stuff! More than half of my pregnancy I was eating it! Of course Ali is into it too. He is a true Shirazi and also a fanatic Persian food lover. :)
I wish you were here for spring when the ghooreh comes out! we could have a sour party! :)
