First Chucky Cheese Experience

Arya's friend Noah had his 3 yr old birthday party at Chucky Cheese this year and it was Arya's first time in a land of chaos. But he had a really good time and afterwards it was sleep city!

Before this day, we visited Nana and Papa and had a nice day with them. Too bad the end of the night ended with a power outage that lasted 2 hours or so. Good thing is we kept each other company with good talks and passed the time. Here's a nice pic of arya with nana.

The quiet month of Ramadan

These past few weeks have been rather quiet with us after the passing of my Uncle Masud. We've been fasting and spending time in quiet nights with prayer and days working and tending to the repetitious life cycle.

Arya has been rather busy with his daily adventures. His routines while I am working at home in the day are primarily learning from watching preschool television, school computer games and playing cars and running around the house. And of course the occasional movies which he loves to watch over and over. But I'm trying to limit those.

A few more days until Eid Fitr. I pray that God grants those who have gone peace and to the rest of us patience and guidance to keep on the straight path. Inshallah.

Daee Masud 11/2/53 - 8/4/2011

My dear sweet Arya. By the time you read this many years will be passed but I wanted to tell you about someone very important to my life who has gone today. It is my uncle Masud. You will probably not remember him, but he loved you very much. Every time he saw you, his face would light up and he would smile at how you talked and the things you did. He loved shaking your hand because you were so gentle with him and you looked at him in the sweetest way, and he would ask about you every time I talked to him on the phone. He was the man who I grew up with when we moved to Modesto and was like a second father to me. He was always positive about life and always remembered you. He cared about every thing that you cared about and gave so much love to everyone. I will never forget him as long as I live and miss him very much. So I wanted to tell you a little about him. Always cherish each moment with the ones you love. Life is too short my son.
