Two Months

Today Arya is officially 2 months old. I can't believe it! Time is flying so fast and at the same time is going slow. The fast is the days turning into night and me doing nothing but being a couch potato and nursing all day. And too slow because I want to see Arya sitting and playing with toys! I just can't wait for that!!! I also wish I had more time to exercise and clean the house :(

Here's a cute pic of Arya yesterday with Ali wearing the same shirt. I think Kami & Tina are rubbing off on us :)

Last month was so exhausting but this month I have found it to be more enjoyable and less stressful. Arya has been sleeping deeper at night and being less fussy. I thank formula between nursing which I have stretched to 3-4 hours rather than 1 1/2 to 2 hours in which he is feeding for 1/2 hour or more.
I also like to thank my dear sweet mother for finding this amazing product for me which has helped Arya's tummy trouble. He was constantly churning and groaning after he ate until I gave him this:

It's called Dr Udo's Infant Probiotics. It's a powder form of the same stuff found in active yogurt culture (acidophilis) and other healthy bacteria that helps the tummy and immune system. God bless you Mom, he's so happy these days!

Beginning Motherhood

Days are flying so fast and sometimes I can't even remember what day of the week it is or if it is even the weekend because I am so involved with Arya. But sometimes I stop myself and daze into space thinking wait a minute, am I really a mom? I have to pinch myself awake and when I stare into his innocent eyes I am blown away and get teary eyed because I find that it is true. And even though I know nothing of what is to come or how much is left to do as far as being a mother, I am so thankful for this moment and all the moments to come.

Sounds Prevail

It has been a few weeks now where I've been noticing Arya making sounds aside from his usual grunting. It comes to be the sounds of the vowels aaaa, eh, ooooh, and yesterday he clearly said "Agha" ! I can hardly wait to hear him baby babble. Every moment is just so precious.

This week has also been another one of those marathon feeding weeks. Luckily I've been managing to take naps, God bless my parents for being with me to help out since Ali's been away. I don't know what I'd do without them.

Here is Arya in his swing sleeping soundly after a fun filled day.

New Favorite Toy :)

This is Arya's new favorite toy which he absolutely loves and smiles so many times when he's playing with it. I love the music and the lights that it has. We bought it from Baby's R Us a week ago and I just put it together since was getting bored with the black, white and red floor gym.

A Big happy smile when the music plays

Week 6 - Another growth spurt week

So far I have encountered 1 really crazy week where I spent the entire day and night feeding Arya and I literally thought something was wrong with my milk supply because he was in constant demand of food. That was in week 3. And it really took a toll on me. Now in week 6 it has happened again, only now I'm aware that these so called "Growth Spurt " weeks are normal and they occur every 3 weeks or so it seems. I'm a little more prepared this time at 6 weeks and decided to use a couple feedings with formula when i'm absolutely exhausted. It has helped a little but i'm still exhausted. The good news is it is helping Arya grow quickly and gain a bunch of weight.

This week he is being more and more excited to try and grab objects. I added a video in the videos section for those who like to watch.

The many faces of Arya

As many of you know, being a baby is just hard work and it's tuff enough to get those grown ups to understand what you are saying! So in light of all that, here are some pictures of Arya's expressions and what I think they mean. :)

Listening, or at least trying to make sense of all the funny noises Mommy's making.

Here I would say, Arya is trying to make a point about something.

Talking about how good that milk was today, think I want some more, maybe every 5 minutes! Hope mom doesn't mind!

Deciding which is better to try to grab from the toys hanging up there

Proud of being able to smile :)

Happy to say I can smile with my eyes open, yay!

God Bless Grandparents

For all those parents out there that take so much time out of their day to help us, I wanted to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. It just wouldn't be the same if you were not in our lives and I truly pray for God to bless you in every way.

In the requests for some of you to have a comment section, I have updated the website to now become a true blog site and for each blog have a section where people can make comments. I am not sure how private this site is, but I will let everyone know if later I need to update the security. As for now everything that was in the old site is still here, but in the links in the green section on your right. Also, the new link will be: aryasworld.blogspot.com

Moments with Arya

I cannot express how I am feeling for this little guy. He has stolen my heart and every day the love I feel for him is more and more.

It is so amazing that despite whatever happens to me and no matter how tired I am, the only thing I want to do is make him happy and take care of him.

His smile and the way he looks at me with his eyes makes it all worth the while.
