Thanksgiving in Dallas Texas

Photobucket

Arya had an amazing week with Ali's family for the week of Thanksgiving! The days and nights were filled with laughter, fun and lots of love. Lots of hugs and kisses too! I bet these are memories Arya will never forget. I'm so happy we had the chance to see everyone and enjoy the days with them.

Here are a few pictures from the trip. There are more if you go to the November Link.

Arya's first time at the airport and on a plane. It was an experience. He was happy at the beginning but towards the end he got fussy. I think the hardest part was him being uncomfortable because we had to hold him all the time and his ears bugging him when we took off and landed. Otherwise everything went well.

In Denver, our first stop was overnight. Arya slept the longest without getting up. I had to wake him to eat at night...it was a very long day for him I think.

Ameh Azita (Ali's youngest sister) with her husband Pedram. We stayed with them the next day when we arrived.

Here are all 6 girl cousins playing with Arya. I'll bet if he was older it would have been a lot more fun! :)

Oh and the last and final thing that really was the bummer was my poor thumb that got smashed between the car door and me pulling it out instead of opening it :( It hurt a lot and it was so dumb of me to not pay more attention! Good grief. I am thankful though that it wasn't anything worst.

Getting ready to travel

Photobucket

Next week will be Arya's first trip to see the family in Dallas Texas for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will be visiting with Ali's family for a week or so. He's almost got the sitting thing down but still leans to the side a bit. This suitcase really "suits" him :) He can hold himself pretty well. Let's see how he shows off his charm. I know he's ready with that smile :)

I want to be a big kid NOW !

When we go places with Arya he looks at other bigger kids and stares at them for a while. Sometimes I wonder if he wishes he could do what they do or play with them. Maybe he is just intrigued by what they are doing. And when we carry him around the house he reaches for things....cups, bottles, walls anything close to him. I think he loves to experiment and feel things. He is also trying to learn to sit by his self. Toys usually help him keep occupied so he doesn't kiss the floor and do the splits at the same time. Here are a few pictures of him from these last few days. :)

I want to crawl!

Arya has become determined to do whatever it takes to crawl. Even if it means suffering every time he tries. I can't help but laugh every time I put him on his back and watch him roll over then push with all his energy to move. Yesterday I caught him putting both feet under his butt and pushing a little bit. I tried to get a video but was unsuccessful. I included it in the blog however so you can see what I mean. I love him so much for trying.

Gagga googoo blaba booboo

I wish I knew what babies were saying when they babyblabble. It is just the cutest thing. I can kind of guess with the tone that when Arya is not happy he kind of screams his blabble out loud. And when he is happy the tone is more of a chuckle or a small laugh combined with his blabble. Whatever it is, it is a sound that I just want to hear over and over again :) heheheh Here is a video of him playing and blabbing all over the place :)

Memorable Moments

When I think about my past my best memories are those that I spent quality time with people who taught me so much. Parents & my sibling of course are number 1, then there is the grandparents (well really, I just had 1 I could spend time with) and then there are the aunts and uncles and all the cousins. It is a true blessing that in this day and age there are video cameras and digital cameras and so much technology for today's generation to see how they grew up with their families. It is unfortunate that we did not have that but thankfully the memories never fade inside our minds. For that I'm grateful and for every moment I am grateful that we all have together. And I hope that in our journey through this life, we will all have the chance to spend the best of quality times together no matter how far apart we are.

Here are some pictures of Arya in his 19th week....

1st Halloween

Arya was a dalmation, I was a cat, and Ali was a Mexican :)
My mom was a funny lady with my dad being funny man :) heheheh. Kamran was a Martial Art guy with his wife Christina as a Chinese martial art lady and Jamil as a ninja. heheheh. Only 2 trick or treaters came by as it was raining on Halloween (as usual).
It was our first Halloween together with the kids and they were great. Arya had fun with Jamil as Tina read to them and enjoyed the toys all around.
