A Thankful Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, there are too many things to be thankful for. Just knowing that we have this moment together is one of the biggest things we are thankful for right now.

Having food to eat every day is another blessing. Can't help but to think of all those people starving in the world. I pray that somehow there will be less suffering and less hungry. And so sorry that so many turkeys are executed every year for a beautiful picture such as the one below.

As time goes one, life seems to come more into perspective. Amazing how when you are a child none of this is really visible until you get old enough to use the glasses that let you see the real world.

Days of November

Photobucket

The month of November has been relatively quiet and the weather has been gorgeous. I know that in some ways this Global warming is weird, but I am one of those people who are not complaining. Although, I also like it when it's slightly chilly as long as the sun comes through to warm you up. Call me spoiled with California weather, but I cannot help it. :)

Arya has been doing good except for allergies that have him congested most of the time. We are investigating this all the time but not sure if it's a combination of things or if it's just seasonal with the slight breezes and rain from time to time.

For the most part he has been enjoying days playing and going to his gym. He's learning lots of things that enable him to get gutsy a little bit. Each time we go it gets better for him to try something new. I figured a few months until he feels comfortable with himself more and trying new things, then we will try something else.

Arya's room is also his getaway place to go all out and play for hours. Here is Arya in action.

Cars and Toy Story are still the favorite. But he does play with his train set and other older toys he had and also some games. I'm the happiest when I see him happy.

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was not exactly what we planned. Arya got Croup last Wednesday and then I got sick too. Ali has been feeling something but didn't quite catch it and hopefully not. So, we've been stuck at home and we wanted to do so much this year. Oh well. So we brought the fun to us.

Photobucket

Arya dressed up as Bob the Builder, Ali was a Mexican and I am a Flapper from the 1920's. We surprised Arya by dressing up in seperate rooms in the house and made him trick or treat each room and get some candy. He was staring at us for a while then he said why did you change so fast. I liked it...

October

The sound of falling leaves and the beauty of Fall has begun. We enter this season with a warm feeling of Thanks and hold each other's hands to whatever the future will bring.

Photobucket

With it comes all the fun and this year we took Arya to the Pumpkin Farm in Citrus Heights (close to where we used to live). We went with Kami, Tina & Jamil as well.

Here are some more photos of the day.

Random Pictures & Moments

The past few weeks we've been busy being out sometimes shopping, at birthdays, and visiting with friends. Arya has been enjoying the outings and social events. Unlike me luckily he is an extrovert. We also had some fun activities at home.

Trying on Hats.

Here we went shopping together with my mom. I find this one as a winner, but loved seeing Arya try a bunch on for me. :)

First Chucky Cheese Experience

Arya's friend Noah had his 3 yr old birthday party at Chucky Cheese this year and it was Arya's first time in a land of chaos. But he had a really good time and afterwards it was sleep city!

Before this day, we visited Nana and Papa and had a nice day with them. Too bad the end of the night ended with a power outage that lasted 2 hours or so. Good thing is we kept each other company with good talks and passed the time. Here's a nice pic of arya with nana.

The quiet month of Ramadan

These past few weeks have been rather quiet with us after the passing of my Uncle Masud. We've been fasting and spending time in quiet nights with prayer and days working and tending to the repetitious life cycle.

Photobucket

Arya has been rather busy with his daily adventures. His routines while I am working at home in the day are primarily learning from watching preschool television, school computer games and playing cars and running around the house. And of course the occasional movies which he loves to watch over and over. But I'm trying to limit those.

A few more days until Eid Fitr. I pray that God grants those who have gone peace and to the rest of us patience and guidance to keep on the straight path. Inshallah.
