Father's Day

Photobucket

This father's day weekend we spent it with my dad and we gathered around had lunch and enjoyed each other's company. Although Ali couldn't be with us because he was out of town, he was there in spirit and we were thinking of him every moment.
I'd like to dedicate today's post to all the amazing father's out there who have spent years of time, dedication, devotion and love for their kids and worked hard to make sure they have a happy and safe life. Thanks to all of you. May our kids learn from you and one day be as great as you are.

Aryayeh shaytoon

For the past week Arya has been uttering sounds here and there that resemble the words of objects and things we say. So far in his vocabulary are: "baba", "papa", "upeh" for toopeh or ball in english, "mama", "dah" for dog. He is pointing, looking when we tell him to, bringing stuff for us when we tell him give it to me, standing when we say stand and sitting when we say sit. So a lot more to do but it's a start. Here are a couple pics for this week. Videos will follow soon.

Arya at 11 Months

Photobucket

It's been a while since my last post and I know so much has happened since then but to sum things up, Arya has been walking a lot more and starting to say "Dada." His interaction with those around him has been getting better as well since he wasn't that social. I have been trying to taking him out more and the funnest part is when we are shopping and he sees someone looking at him and waves at them. I don't know about you but if I was standing in a line and even if I was having a yucky day if a baby waved at me it may just bring out a smile :). I hope they felt that way.
Here are a couple cute videos:

The hot summer begins

Photobucket

As the days go by, the beautiful sun shines its heat rays down and warmthens up the earth. The last couple days it hit the 100 mark and I have to say I truly missed it. I feel like the winter took forever, and now we are enjoying the heat of summer to come.

Arya has been taking more steps on his own. I don't have any videos this week but I'm hoping to post some next time and you can see it. For now it's just a couple steps here and there so I can't grab the camera fast enough :)

Happy Mother's Day

Today was my first Mother's Day. I am so very thankful for everything God has given us and to be able to even say I am a mother. I never really knew the definition and still have yet to fulfill it to even consider all the things a mother goes through. I truly from the bottom of my heart pray that every mother who works hard at being one will get the blessings of a happy and healthy child as well as wonderful days together. I love you all, beautiful mothers. God bless those who have been in our lives and those who have gone.

10 Months

Photobucket

Turning 10 months has brought a lot of new characteristics to Arya. He has been showing that he loves to share and give us things. He is also listening when we tell him "No" or "Na" and truly looks like he feels bad about it. I'm also excited to start hearing more babbles and finally "Baba!". Ali was a bit teary after he first heard him say it. Now he is starting to sound out things when we talk or tell him about things. Whatever we do we like to engage him in it and talk about what's going on. His favorite things now are lights, cars, climbing, and playing hide and seek.
