First Time at the Lake - Memorial Weekend - Happy 23 Months!

Today was the first time Arya went with us to the Lake (Folsom Lake). He had a lot of fun and played with the sand a lot. The water was a bit cold and he refused to go near it at first then after seeing all the kids having so much fun, he decided to give it a try. It was a good experience for him. The weather was awesome today, about 80 and a slight breeze. We had kabob with rice and dough. We also took some sweets and tea of course. Arya also had some tangerines (which are 1 of his favorites). He found a stick on the ground that we will keep as a souvenir.

First Thunder & Rain Experience

This was the first time Arya had experienced and actually noticed Thunder and Rain. It was a bit loud and scary for him and he ran to my arms. But after explaining what was happening to him a couple times he seemed to actually think it was exciting. I told him the 2 clouds crashed into each other and this sound would come then water would fall from the sky and all of God's creatures and plants would drink to quench their thirsty. The Hot Summer is coming and a long time before they get to drink again. So here is their chance. Then every time he would hear the thunder BAM he'd run to the window and tell me to come and look! We enjoyed watching the shower of rain pouring down and a few birds wiggle themselves in it. He seemed to like that part the best.
We lost cable, tv and phone for a brief few minutes but luckily everything seemed to work again. No power outages but we did hear syrens as they rushed to help whomever it was. Hope all was ok. All in all it was a good experience.

Here he is while eating lunch (Hummus with Pita Bread)

Tina's Birthday & Mother's Day

This is my 2nd mother's day with Arya in our lives. I still can't believe it sometimes that someone calls me mom. And for whoever out there who wishes for that I pray their wish comes true one day.

Here are a few pictures of Tina's Birthday at Extreme Pizza.

Spring Days together

This weekend Arya and I went to McDonalds together. We had some fun dancing and laughing as Arya made some funny faces.

He had a happy meal and here is drinking his apple juice
He usually likes to remove the straw and sip from the hole.

We also had fun earlier this week with the gang and got to hang out.

Back at home during the week Arya learned to watercolor and was so fascinated that he spent hours until he truly got sick of it.

But best of all this is my favorite picture. It is where Arya proves his persian roots or should I say his "Modaresi" roots with craving this lime out of the blue and not making a single flinch sucking on it and biting into its juices! Way to go for a 1 year old!

Spring time fun

Easter for Arya was a fun event. He had the opportunity to dye his own eggs for the first time then go find some plastic ones with toys in them. Jamjam had fun too as they both ran around our house looking for them. Here are some pictures from Easter week. Hope everyone had a lovely spring break and enjoyed the time together. Love to all...

Eideh Noroozetan Mobarak!

This is the first Eid that Ali and I went to visit his family with Arya. It was an exciting time for him since the last time he was there he was only 4 months or so. It's been almost a year and a half and all the girls have grown so much! It was a lovely time with everyone. Hope you all have the most amazing Saleh No with all the health, happiness and success and in many years to come!

Our 8 Year Anniversary

Photobucket
2010 brings the 8th year anniversary of our marriage together. If there was a book, one would probably say, "Wow, you two have had quite an adventure!" Whatever roads we had to go through, I'm glad for where we have landed here and now. And I only hope that the future holds a little less excitement and a little more relaxation here on out...RIGHT! Who am I kidding. Anyhow.,,,here are some other pictures of us at Extreme Pizza.
