One month old
I can't believe it has already been 1 month since Arya has been born. Time flies yet at the same time is going so slow for me. I am continuing the daily routine of being Arya's personal feeder and servant :) and I love each moment with him. Unfortunately this position has led me to cancel any plans for myself or the house or anyone else for that matter since he has taken most of my time. The hardest part is the feeding schedule as it does take most of the energy and time away since he eats every 1-2 hours and for an hour at a time. So that doesn't leave me much in between. The good thing is he is growing and gaining weight. I do feel it.

Ali's 40th Birthday
We celebrated Ali's 40th birthday today. The house was decorated for the big event and the family came over in the evening. Arya stayed awake most of the day and at night was a little tired, but he dressed up for his baba and we were able to catch him with his eyes open a few times in the pictures.

Heading into week 3
Each day seems more and more of a surprise. It's like trying to understand a new language. The language of the baby's cry and the emotional state of hurry up or it will get worse! He has found his routine. Which is: Eat every 2 hours, poop when waking up and needing to be changed, and then falling asleep. This continues throughout the day and the night. Although the night he has given us 2 breaks of 4 hours now and then.
From his last appointment he has gained 9 oz. and all is going well.

It was a nice day celebrating Baba bozorg's birthday with the kids. He enjoyed it very much and so did we. Hope one day the whole family can be together and celebrate life and all its miracles.

Becoming New Parents
After coming home from the hospital it has been a bit difficult getting used to things especially feeding and when to sleep. And also worrying about the little guy. So many things we think about. Welcome to parenthood!

Finally Born
It was a little passed 12:30am and my water broke Saturday June 28th. We went to the hospital and since the pain got unbearable I decided to get an epidural. This, I think was a bad decision because it caused my contractions to slow down and they had to give me pitocine to make them come stronger. Unfortunately after a while it caused the baby's heart rate to drop and after 4 times of putting me through hell they decided on an emergency c-section when the baby's heart rate would not go up. I felt like my life was being taken away from me and all I could think about was for Arya to be ok. 15 minutes later they took him out and I heard his cry. I was too drugged to cry but inside I wanted to fly to him and hold him so tight. Ali was next to me the whole time and didn't even let me go to go hold him. When i finally got to recovery i saw his beautiful face and everyone came to see him. I was in labor for 15 hours before th c section. Glad it was finally over. And so thankful he was ok.
