Arya gets white belt from Hackingtons Code School!

Whenever I see his face gleaming like this, it warms my heart. He truly loves this stuff. Who would've thought my son would follow my footsteps? Although he found his calling way before I did.
I was attracted more to mathematics and art, but found computers to be somewhere in the middle. I think for Arya it's more the gaming and fun side of things :) which I'm happy about for him.



This is a snapshot of his project that he had to create. Being that he's younger he gets to use Scratch (a tool that allows you to implement logic rather than type the code yourself). Which for his age it seems better to learn about that first then what the tags are and so forth. This one is a mouse maze to get to the Cheetos.

Room Remodeled!

Arya's room needed a makeover.

He still had a lot of his stuff from yes I dare say it "Kindergarden." And frankly, for a 3rd grader, I just didn't think that was fitting for his development. Soooo, we decided to redo it a little bit.

Before, there was no room for clothes at all. His little closet and the dresser was all that we had. And the toys were stuffed in the little bins made for baby toys. So I moved his shoes and night stands into the closet with added lighting thanks to Kami. And The closet was nice and clean (it was pretty bad before, I don't have a pic).



We got some storage closets from Ikea and also cubes from Lowes, and re-organized everything. This gave us more storage and gave the place a face lift I guess you could say :)

3rd Grade begins!

Arya started this year with big smiles and ready to take on another fun year of school!

Mashallah, this year begins with a new nice teacher Mrs. Jansson. And it is in the portables area (in the back) where the AC is good! 

A lot of his old buddies were in his class. And some were in Mrs. Chi's class and Mrs. Wagoner's class.





They got to play together at recess :)
The only sad news was his friend since kindergarten (Sophie) got moved to another school to be with her teacher mom. But since we are good friends we will see them still here and there.



We had some fun the week later and got to go to old sacramento and shop a little bit and go see the movie Nine Lives. It was pretty funny. I laughed :)



So, Arya's new friend that he's been playing with is James. He's a little bit crazay! But I think Arya likes that :) It seems like he's into the same things as Arya (Minecraft & RoBlox) and he likes gaming/programming. Nerds rule!!! :)

Arya gets his blue belt in Aikido!

After 2 months of training, Arya took his first test today and passed! It wasn't easy but our baby did it!!! So proud of you my dear heart.



The test involved, Basic movement 1, 2 & 3. Back & Forward rolls, Back Falls, and kneeling positions.

First time at the Dentist!

Today was Arya's first ever appointment at the dentist!



We decided to choose the Folsom location called "Make a Smile". The inside was very cute and Arya loved it.



Arya had no cavities and his teeth were perfect.Thank God. He got to watch tv on the ceiling while the hygienist checked out his teeth.



No extractions needed on his baby teeth, he is just a little behind. By the X-rays we saw that they were just behind his teeth and almost ready to come out.

Hang in there my sweet boy, they will come out soon. I know how badly you wish they would.

Baby Jasmine is here!

The long and awaited beautiful daughter that Kamran & Christina have been waiting for and Jamil has been dreaming of has finally arrived.



She was born on July 31st at around 10pm. Weighing 8.6 lbs and 20 1/4 inches long. Mashallah!

It was a difficult road that brought this precious moment, but thankfully everything lead to this great day of total happiness. Jamil is finally happy he has his baby sister now. And Nana & Papa are proud to be new grandparents again.

Arya is happy to have a new cousin he can see and play with. 

And Kamran has the daughter he's always wished for Praise God.





May God's grace and protection be upon us all.And may these cousins get to be the best of friends, Inshallah.

Swimming Lessons and pool fun

If there was any animal Arya would be in this would, it would be a fish.



 We know he loves to swim and since it is something he truly wishes for, we hope we can help make it come true.



So we signed him up last month and it was a 2 week private session.



After that we went to vacation and when we came back, we signed him up for more.



So far he has learned to go under water, swim a short distance back and forth, get things under water, and move his hands and feet. And also dive and come back to the edge.



Then Ali put together the gigantic pool in our yard. As soon as he wakes up he wants to go in there until sunset. But we have to stop him because we are worried about dehydration and too much sun exposure. Much less turning into a permanent prune. heheh.



But, it is truly something that he loves and enjoys very much and we have never seen him more happy than when he is in the water. So, there you have it, Arya has found his favorite passtime (after computers).
