Things missed

Since we've moved, life has been nonstop...with one thing after another. Sometimes I would love to just stop and smell the roses once in a while...and it seems like the late night or early morning is the only time I can make sense of it all.

Arya has been caught in the middle between my work and crazy lifestyle as well as Ali's little time after he comes home from work and his Nana & Papa which are thankfully here to be with us every day.

Arya loves to color. He loves to dance, and be happy. He loves playing and spending time with family. And he loves tv, video games and his toys.

I've been trying to get him outside more. Just every time I do, something happens. Today he fell and skinned both knees and his elbows while chasing me with a water gun. Poor kid was bleeding all over. :(



One of his favorite places is Chucky Cheese. This was one of those rare times when we got to go there with Jamil, Kamran & Tina.



I'm so excited they now have Gluten Free pizza!



He also loves playing with Jamil. Seems like Legos keeps them busy for hours!





And still a big fan of superheros!



I think it gives him a sense of power, and make believe that he can be among them.



I'm very thankful for his time with Papa and Nana. He is learning a lot from them.



And getting very familiar with the Iphone! He takes photos and videos of himself and sends them to us. Amazing at 4 years old. I could never have done that.



Sleeping is still a bit of a challenge. His nose / allergies bug him and us. And there's only so much we can do to relieve him.



We communicate to Ali through our Iphones and sometimes he comes for lunch to see us. This is still a blessing. Some kids and wives may not see their man for days even months.

We are happy he has a fun job and can be a true leader of the pack! :)

Being your mom on Mother's Day 2013

My beautiful, Arya. I just wanted to say thank you for being in my life. Thank you for your smiles and all the moments you make us smile. I am eternally grateful for you and for being given the chance to be your mom. Today, I am honored to be a mother and thankful for the opportunity bestowed on me.

I pray that I can be a good mom for you for all the days you shall need me, my son. And I pray that I will teach you all the best things to help you in life. Of course, God is the best teacher, but hopefully you can use me for whatever my experience can help you with in life.

God always bless you, my son. Love always, mom.

Norooz Pyruz 1392!

We are blessed with another Norooz to remind us of all the things we have in our lives. This is our traditional Sofreh haf sin. It usually looks the same every year.



Arya looks rather handsome in his new suit. 4 more months and he's 5.



This comic is one my friend put on Facebook. Makes one think of what other's don't have.



But this father even is amazing because he's at least trying to make his family laugh...even when it's not funny.



For a father who tries is better than a father who does nothing at all. Ali and Arya look so nice together.

March Madness

This month has been one crazy month! Busy, Crazy and So much going on.
First, we have moved Happy Wiggles from home to a commercial location a few blocks down. So we've been getting it ready to open. Chaching...chaching and bye bye chaching..$$$$$
2nd, Nana and Papa have been getting ready to move next door. So construction zone again.
3rd, Arya got sick and that was a downer :(
4rth, We have our 11 year Anniversary and Norooz events coming up. So lots and lots of stuff going on...
So sorry for delay in blogging. Oh, and work has also been nuts to top it all off!

February - the Month of Love

This year February is quite memorable. Nana turned 70 and I turned 40.



We are thankful this month for so many things. That we have each other, that we are alive and well. That we have a home and food, and good weather. That somehow we are able to work and make money and that we have our brains and thankfully it is still functioning as a great tool for us each day....And so many other things.




I made this Gluten Free chocolate cake because there is no such place to buy something like this. Thankfully it tasted quite good :)



Arya danced for me a little bit.

We went to the movies the day before and saw Life of Pi. It was deep. A bit sad but deep. Arya found it interesting. He looks glazed over in this photo. :) heheh



Nana looks so angelic in this picture that Arya took. I love the way he captures life with his little hands.



Amazing how slim and handsome Papa has become and how radiant and beautiful Nana looks mashallah. God keep you both healthy and happy always my loves.

2013 and The Cold Winter

This winter seemed like it was the coldest and unfriendliest winter we have ever had here in Sacramento.
And, life has been rather busy so sorry it has been a while since I updated Arya's Blog.

Papa's Knee surgery has been a slow and painful journey, but with therapy and continuous movement, hopefully things will get better and better. Here are a couple picks of his progress when he was staying with us.



 


The events in Arya's life have been many but mostly in the house. But he has his own adventures. Gaming on the Wii and with Jamil.

Christmas December 2012

Another beautiful December has come and gone. 2012 will soon come to an end. But it was memorable.
As it is every year. We had lights outside and inside this time in our new home. And the same white tree as last year.



Arya is sitting next to the light up doggie and white tree that is hard to see. He got a Wii and some coloring stuff. A couple movies and superheros from us.



We had fun making sweets and laughing with these Santa hats :)



Mom and Dad had a chance to stay with us for a while and see how we live as well as  heal from the pain they had to endure. Mom's foot is finally getting better and Dad's knee has allowed him to walk more and more. Don't they look so great even as they are in pain? And slimmed down quite a lot.

We usually went to Kamran's house every year, but this time Christmas was at our house.

Arya also got a handheld Nintendo DS and games to go with it from Kami & Tina.





They played and played and played.



Then the guys wanted to try it out. It was funny watching them box. It made them really work out :) heheh



Then it was time for Kamran's 36th birthday celebration. It's really tomorrow but it was convenient to celebrate it today.
