This year was more fun for Arya. He understood more what was going on, Santa Claus, presents and doing things for others. We spent the early part of it baking together and he helped me make the treats as well as wrap presents. He also helped me gather things around the house to donate to those less fortunate. It is always good to get involved with giving just as much as getting so one understands it's not always about "Getting". Then when Christmas came Arya got to open his own gifts.
He really liked this magazine with stories inside about his favorite characters in Toy Story.
We also visited Kami for his birthday (day after Christmas) and Arya was in Toy wonderland.
This was his favorite part....CAKE!
Then on the weekend we went to Nana & Papa's for New Years. They did a lot of work and made so much food. We spent the night there and Arya got to wake up in their house as he kept asking for this...
This would've been a good pic of Jamil and Arya kissing heheheh
Why is it when you tell a kid CANDY their eyes light up and they get so excited? I figured out that because before you eat it you already know it tastes so good thanks to all the commercials on TV and the people who eat it in front of you. Well, how about something like Broccoli? Ever see a kid's face light up when they have to eat that? NO WAY right? WRONG! This kid, I mean my kid really LOVES Broccoli! And I have to tell you I had no part in it. I got lucky and bought this DVD when he was 1 year old and I guess after that every time he saw Broccoli he would say MMMMMM. It was amazing..and until now do I have proof! Thanks to whomever made that DVD and teaching kids something good! So that's my 2 cents - true meanings to kids are made by watching it made fun and exciting whether it be by you or the TV.
Here is Arya munchin on broccoli for his midnight snack
Now don't get me wrong...this cute little pumpkin also loves marshmellows which are not my favorite sweet to give him to help rott his teeth but what can you do? There has to be 1 bad thing right?
The next True Meaning is when he says I want my milk. It really means I want to go to sleep or I am tired. And here's how much he loves his bottle...
I'm really happy that we have stepped passed the "Animal" crazy phase and come to the "Cars" world. This at least gives him more of his boy nature and away from all the girly things I put him through all day. Thanks to the Movie "CARS"
I am going to add a few Thanksgiving Pics since I missed that in my blog. We didn't get a chance to show the table that I worked so hard for all that food, but we were too busy eating I guess. But it was a great night with lots of love.
Arya and Jamil playing together and watching a movie
Ali & I
Tina & Kami cuddling
Mom & Dad who look so cute together as always
This is Ali's employee Calvin who also was a guest and has done a lot for us.
My sweet cousin Anahita came to visit us
All of you family who are reading this - You are truly MISSED. We think of you all the time and your place is honestly empty when we are together. God bless all of you and be with you always.
Now is the video of Arya eating Broccoli to enjoy. Until next post...*hugs&kisses**
Lately Arya has been getting more serious with Toys and Movies. And when we go to the store he wants to get characters he sees from the movies. He recently saw Toy Story 2and still hasn't seen part 3. And Cars...which I thought both were rather good.
More photo's of Arya's pictures - his new hobbie (wonder if he'll be a blogger?)
Playing with Jamil - Toy Story and Cars are their favorite at this point in time.
Pooped after a day full of playing
This picture turned out amazing. the background is moving blurry but Arya is completely in focus.
Spending some time with Nana & Papa in our backyard
Arya the Puzzle Fanatic! He loves them! Once or twice after, he gets fast without help.
Arya the Photographer! A favorite of his lately has been stealing my camera and taking pictures. He's figured out how to do it. Don't ask me how. Here one he took of Nana.
Arya has told me he officially wants to wear underwear and doesn't want to wear diapers any more. So we are on the road to Big Boy hood! No more diapers (except at night) and when we go out for now. But each day seems like it's getting more and more progress. To read more about his journey in detail I have updated it here: http://aryasmoments.wordpress.com/
We are all so proud of him and so excited! It has been a lot of work and accidents but I think he is starting to get the idea after 3 days.
