Here are some pictures from Papa's birthday and other days we've had some time together. Sorry it's been a while since my last post. Arya was sick for a while and we had other events that took my time away.
All of us at Papa's birthday. It was unique that both Arya and Jamil came to the front like this. A 1 in a million pic :)
Arya in his pj's - this superman one looks cute on him.
Singing in the back seat.
Out to lunch with Baba and coloring before our meal arrives.
Fond of coloring. He's been enjoying it a lot these days.
This was a cute face :) heheheh
Saying cheese while laying on the ground :)
All three of us on the 21st (9 yrs anniversary that Ali & I met)
Ali in his cast...and not a happy camper
Here are some videos: Arya's first time on his tricycle he got for his birthday
It was Arya's birthday on June 29th and we couldn't wait for the party. We had a brief episode of the "teroos" (Terrible twos) before he actually turned 2. It had to do with a blue balloon that he picked up the day before and took it home. He didn't want to let it go for a second thinking it would float into the air or something would take it away from him. Unfortunately it turned into an obsession and until 2 am we waited for him to finally fall asleep. That's how determined he was to keep it in his hands. He even slept with it. The good thing was in the morning all the balloons disappeared and he didn't say a word about it. So we were happy.
We got to celebrate at Extreme Pizza with the gang. He had his own personal room, a Big TV with cartoons and many many toys. He even got a tricycle. So here are some pictures from that day. For all those family members who couldn't be there, we missed you.
This is Arya's 2nd Father's Day to celebrate his father and grandfather. We have Ali's father in our heart every year as well along with all the other dads who are in our family. Hope everyone had a great day together.
Before father's day, Arya spent some time to decorate a frame we bought from Michaels. He got to paint it and he really spent an hour doing so. It was so cute when he finished and the biggest mess to clean up for me. I think it was worth it getting a gift from your 2 year old son...don't you?
In the morning we went to IHOP for breakfast and then off to Papa & Nana's house. Khoresh Sabzi with rice and fun fun fun for the kids. In this picture it was Arya's first time saying "CHEESE". :)
It was a bit hard to get both kids to sit in Papa's lap for a photo, but here's the best we could get:
Now here's Arya with some outdoor fun:
And finally here's a funny pic taken only yesterday because Arya wanted to wear this shirt on the way home and i took it off. Boy was he mad at me. We came from Nana & Papa's house and it was a bit chili so Nana put it on him and i took it off in the car thinking he'd fall asleep. He was so upset.
When Arya was born it was very difficult for him to fall asleep and the only thing that used to work was when I used to humm Native American music to him. Only then he would fall asleep. It was the weirdest thing. I guess I have always had a passion for their way of life. The way they respect nature, the earth and the Higher power always brings an awe to me. And since Arya loves animals & nature so much I'd like to dedicate this post to their wisdom, peace and enlightenment...and amazing ways they lived in this world until now.
Here are some nice videos I found. I will put a favorite on the right side of Arya's Blog. Enjoy....
This one is good if you close your eyes...you will float into another world...
Since the weather's been so great we have been out and about. It's time for Arya to explore this beautiful world and get to know all the things he's been reading about and seeing on the television. Here are some pictures of our adventures....
